CityLimits on long commutes to school in NYC

This excellent City Limits article from Jeanmarie Evelly tackles the issue of long commutes to school in NYC, a byproduct (for some) of its open enrollment system. The article provides a perfect summary of my report with the Urban Institute which examined commuting time to school by student background. The most consistent finding is that black students in NYC travel much further to school than others.
